Melksham is a historic Market town in rural Wiltshire, situated on the banks of the River Avon.

The Kennet and Avon Canal also passes through Melksham.  It is an ideal location for exploring the historic villages of Lacock, Castle Combe and the Cotswolds is only a short drive away.

The Town Centre still has a regular Tuesday Market. Melksham is on the A350 just 10 miles south of the M4 junction 17.

The Population of Melksham at the last count in 2011 was 19,357  but this has certainly increase in recent years and now thought to be over 24,000 .
